Many people don't take too much notice to the rules but the effort has been made anyway and members are fully expected to abide by all rules. Many occasions will rise when members accidentally break a rule on the board because they weren't aware of it, purely because they couldn't be bothered to take five minutes of their time to read them. It would help and make life a lot easier for me if you could, but obviously, you can't be forced. However, for those who respect our policies, below is everything you need to know about taking part in ECS.

News & Transfer Board
1> This board is for transfers, announcements, roleplays, press conferences and I will also post the weekly Master League results on this board.

2> When you post messages on this board you are to post as your given character (the club's current manager at the time of opening) ONLY and nobody else. Even if the person is associated with the club you are controlling. Use only the club's official name or the name of the manager please.

3> Mild arguing is acceptable if anyone needs to clear something, but I will not tolerate abusive and foul language. Mild language can also be acceptable if using correctly. Necessary punishments will be carried out if this rule is broken.

4> It is asked of you all to remain fully professional while using this board. When posting, you are acting as the manager of your club. Post messages either as the club name or manager name

5> You are NOT allowed to advertise your own websites of a similar category on the ECS board. Necessary punishments will be carried out if this rule is broken. You must ask formally and personally for permission from me first.

6> If you cheat or are caught cheating to make a transfer or any sort or form you will be removed instantly as a member of ECS. Any transfer deals done between two clubs appearing to have identical IP addresses will be cancelled and will NOT go through...Even if there's a simple explanation.

7> If you have the ability to roleplay then please do so. It is nice to see and it makes things interesting. You can do anything like pre-match or post-match interviews or press conferences and there is no minimum or maximum amount of writing you can do. I also like to see a little dosage of HTML if you know any. Roleplaying will influence your team's performance and boost morale, but don't go mad. It doesn't guarentee a win if you roleplay more than your opponent.

Team Submition Board
1> This board is ONLY for submitting your 16-man squad for each match of the week. 11 in your starting line-up and you'll name five subs. Please make sure you make it aware when and how substitutions will be made. Anything else you post on this board unless it's relevent will be deleted and you will be warned.

2> There is a set deadline as to when you can submit your squad. If you haven't posted by 12:00 midnight every Friday then you will lose your match if your opponent posts. If you post after the deadline, again it will not count. You are however, guarenteed at least one goal for each time you successfully post your weekly squad.

3> You are allowed to alter your squad choice during the course of each week. For instance, if you post your squad and make a transfer the next day you can alter your squad post as long as it's before the deadline.

4> If you fail to post your squad one week it is asked of you to contact me somehow to explain the reason why it happened. I will NOT contact you myself. If it happens for a second week then I will attempt to contact you about it. And if it happens for a third week in a row, whether you gave me a reason in the second or not, you'll be removed and replaced. You will be noted of this.

5> If you include an injured or suspended player in your team sheet you will be asked to remove him. If you fail to remove the player he will be deleted from the sheet and you will play with ten men or less depending on how many void players you include.

6> When posting your squad, please make sure you state what competition it's for. If it's a Cup week then you'll need to specify your Cup post to your league post. You can do this by stating it in the "subject" field. This can also be used for letting me know you want this same post for a certain amount of weeks until further notice for reasons such as...you're going on holiday or something.

Transfers
1> Completing a transfer is simple. You make an offer to another member by issuing your interest on the transfer board for the specific player. If It's accepted you will instantly get that player for the fee you offered.

2> Selling a player is basically the reverse of the above. Where you will need to respond to other members' offers for your players. However, if you accept then that's the transfer done and dusted. There is no going back and it cannot be reversed if for some reason you change your mind or something.

3> During a part-exchange deal you can also allow any amount of cash but only THREE players maximum are allowed to be used to swap with the player your buying/selling.

4> The outsider market is where you buy outsider players. Only players listed on this page can be bought from outsider clubs. About five/six will be placed there each time along with their asking price. Once the players are bought, it will be selected at random when I decide to refresh it with new players. Deadlines will be placed in order to determin who gets who. Please note, that when the deadline time hits on the board thats it, even if you come in to outbid someone just a second over the deadline time, you have lost out. There is a twist however, players of less credentials at lesser clubs that may never feature in ECS can be valuated for randomly either by asking myself over e-mail or posting it on the board making the request. Upon replying, I will let you know if there are any plans of using that player in the market or not.

5> You can release players on a free transfer if you believe you have no need for them whatsoever. However, you must note that the players must be compensated by a certain amount of money to be released. When you request to release a player I will reply and let you know how much he will be compensated with so then you can finalise whether you still want to go ahead with it. The money will be taken from your transfer budget.

6> You can ask to remove some players from your first team and have them put into the reserves. As you have no reserve squad to look at, it's basically non-existant, but if you send one there it will be on record and if you wait patiently, an outsider team may declare an interest and may even make a bid.

7> You can also call-up players you know that club has in reserves or the youth team. Just basically request for it to be carried out on the board. Please make sure you state the players full name and position.

8> Nothing that goes on in real life will affect ECS, except for one thing. Retirements. Any transfers, manager changes etc wont happen the same in ECS, but when a player or manager retires from football in real life then he retires at the end of the current ECS season that may be in progress.

Loans
1> You can also loan players and loan out players. You can loan out as many players as you like, but there's a limit in loaning players into your team. There is a maximum of three. If you complete a fourth loan into your team then it will be cancelled.

2> Any players you have loaned out or have out on loan to other clubs, inside ECS or out...You are allowed to sell them off either to the club they're currently at (as long as they're in ECS) or to another club during the loan. However, outsider clubs that have your players on loan may want to buy him if you check the outsider interests.

3> You are responsible for the clauses in a loan deal. Entirely up to you, but they must be taken into consideration if you plan making any future actions for that specific loanee

4> You can call back players from a loan as long as you included callbacks in the deal when you completed it. If you just join and realise some of your players are out on loan...You'll need to ask the club's if they'd allow the player to return to you if you want them

5> Players you have on loan when you begin management in ECS from outsider clubs (which should only be the case during the first season) you can offer to the ECS Board to buy them permanently, but only under the permission of the Board. You will have to post on the message board to enquire about the player, I will then act as the governing body of the outsider club and decide on whether to sell him permanently or not. Please note that other clubs in ECS may want to buy them too.

Money
1> Your transfer budget will begin at £20,000,000 is located near the top of your squad page. You are allowed to spend over that budget leaving you in debt. You can go as far as £20,000,000 in debt and you must reverse the debt by the end of the season. If you don't then I'm afraid I will have to remove you from your position and you'll be replaced.

2> To avoid confusion...When a team is in debt, their money on their squad page will be highlighted in bold and red font with a dash in front of the figure to issue a "minus" sign. Once you are back out of debt and into the plus figures, it will be returned to it's normal standard black font.

3> Your budget will increase and decrease depending on what you do in the transfer market. Obviously buying a player decreases it and selling a player will increase the budget. All the money you recieve from making sales will go to your budget. Prize money you win also goes to your transfer funds.

4> Your money can be decreased due to fines. If one of your players recieves a red card during a match he will be suspended for ONE game with immediate effect and you'll be fined a total of £1,000,000. If a player receives five yellow cards over the course of the season he will also receive a one match ban and a £500,000 fine. The bans apply for both League and Cup.

5> If a member quits or is sacked from the site. The replacement manager for that club will begin on the transfer budget the previous handler left with. Unless of course they left leaving the club in debt. It would be unfair to land a debt on a new member to deal with. A debt clearence and a maximum of £5,000,000 will be available to spend.

-----------------------------------------------

One final rule for all...If anybody found guilty of being unaware of the rules while being active on the message boards, fine's decided between myself and my colleague will be carried out to encourage members to read them.

**Note: MORE RULES MAY BE ADDED DURING THE SEASON.
