LPG system has to be upgraded to the new engine. Some web navigations show
me the performance limitations of the actual system:
Too long distance (55") between the vapourizer (A on image) and the mixer (C) slows lpg suction. AEB, the lpg ecu maker, advices to put the stepper (B) as close as possible to the mixer(C). The mixer feeding system with 4 little hoses restricts air flow. |
) ) Lpg
is sucked by the vaccuum created by the mixer restriction.
But the level of vaccuum so created is weaker than by a venturi mixer. For the same restriction, the engine could inhalate more lpg with a venturi. The mixer shape opens out to the top. Putting it upside down allows to build a venturi "doughnut" |
) ) ) An
other modification is the mixer feeding via a big Y.

Air passages are widened. This will increase air flows thru the mixer. |

input and output are ported for better lpg flowing.
The stepper is mounted just under the air filter housing (2" from mixer instead of 40" before). |
