The purchase of El Camino

I always dreamed of a big V8 American coupé and I like also pick-up trucks.
My solution is the Chevrolet El Camino.
I wanted a car in mint condition to drive it without concern
and I was ready to pay the price to have a beautiful vehicle.
But there is little Elcamino in France and the rare used cars seen
in the ads of Nitro (French magazine) are to be restored.
A complete restoration costs more than a good vehicle,
and especially, the car doesn't run during this endless restoration work.

September 1998, I find Boches automobiles which offers vehicles imported from United States,
in French license, LPG converted, guaranteed for 6 months.
Mr. Boche works with California Export located at Oakland CA managed by
Mr. Anderson who searchs the vehicles in San-Francisco's area.
At the end of October, I visit Boche automobiles and take order of an 82-87 Elcamino.

January 13, 1999, a cargo liner loaded with the container with my Elcamino inside leaves Oakland's harbour for Antwerp.

Now, it will be francized and converted to LPG.
May 20, after a delay due to the "nice" civils servant of the DRIRE,
I can (finally) take delivery of my Toy.
Since, every day is Chrismas for me at the wheel of my Elcamino!
