ECOFARM REGULATIONS
1.  Members and interested people should be debt free or have some other means of repaying their debts, as ECOFARM cannot assume responsibility for said debts.

2.  Members, provisional members, and long-term visitors are required to fully engage in our daily labor and cooperate on community projects and tasks, such as farm work.  We prefer members and others to work full time on the farm, instead of working outside jobs. There are exceptions.  If a member desires to work outside of the farm, he/she must first fulfill the requirements stated in # 5.

3.  Members usually recieve a small weekly stipend; exact amounts could vary depending on farm income.  ECOFARM provides fully for members in the way of vegetarian food, lodging, and the amenities associated with housing.

4.  Members do not presently receive health insurance or medical coverage from ECOFARM.

5  Members are required to work around 30-45 hours a week on the farm in exchange for said items in # 3.  There are no time cards; we are a small close group.  Work includes all aspects of community life and maintenance:  Farming, cooking cleaning, bookkeeping, computer work, environmental & social advocacy, teaching/childcare, etc.

6.  The membership process is as follows:  Prospective members will first send a formal letter of intent and fill out the questionnaire.  After the current members review the information, the person may be invited to visit for up to two weeks.  During the first scheduled meeting following the visit, the current members will discuss and vote on the propective membership.  If accepted into the community, a period of one year is required before the new member becomes a full member.

7.  All members (eligible and other) and visitors are required to attend all regularly scheduled meetings.  Right now there is usually one short meeting a week.

8.  Children would not receive voting status until age sixteen, and fulfillment of requirements of # 6.

9.  Members wishing to get new pets will have to address the community at a regularly scheduled meeting, and all eligible members will vote on the matter.

10. Any eligible member can call a meeting other than regularly scheduled meetings; however, attendance at these meetings will be voluntary.

11.  ECOFARM has a NO WEAPONS policy.  It is of great importance to us that firearms and other weapons are excluded from the property.  Anyone found to have weapons in her/his possession will be asked to leave immediately.

12.  ECOFARM strongly encourages a tobacco-free environment.  This is for health reasons as well as plant pathogens found in tobacco.  There is no tobaco use in the main house and kitchen.

13.  Children should be supervised at all times.  This is a safety issue that we strongly insist on, especially around machinery, in the kitchen, and during cooking times.

Note:  These rules are subject to change at any time, by concensus of the current members.
