| 9/1-I don't have much to write about today. I went to class as usual, and then Ellen and I went to Wal-Mart. I bought a whole bunch of stuff, but of course forgot stuff too. I talked to Briana and asked if she wanted to do something on Friday night. So me, Briana, and Ellen are planning on going out. We want to go watch the Congress Ave. bats. None of us have seen them before. At least I have something to do. My nana and papa are coming this weekend and we get Monday off for Labor Day. 9/2-Class was kind of tiring. I think it's the 3 hours of history and government back to back that get to me. Jessy invited me to go to First Thursday. People set up booths and shops stay open late on South Congress the first Thursday of every month. Me, Jessy, and his friend Gisem went. It was pretty cool. There are so many strange things in Austin. I am continually amazed. Tomorrow Ellen, Briana, and I are planning on doing something and on Saturday my nana and papa are coming to Austin. This should be a pretty good weekend. 9/3-I love Fridays. My one one-hour class is great. Ellen, her boyfriend Travis, Briana, and I ordered pizza and watched a movie here. It was fun and the movie was good too. My nana and papa are coming tomorrow so I need to go to bed. 9/4-My nana and papa came. We ate at Kerbey Lane, went to the coop, and looked around campus a little bit. They brought me the ceiling tiles I've been waiting for. I hung them up and they look great. Unfortunately, my nana and papa left early because someone rear ended them. That sucked. So right now I'm talking to Heather, Skip, and Rob. This is probably what I'll be doing for the rest of the evening. 9/5-I woke up at noon today and went and bought a web cam. All I did for the rest of the day was play with it. It's awesome. 9/6-Today, Jill, her boyfiend Evan, and I went to her friend's house in this complex. We ate quesadillas and played games. I had so much fun. My team won most of the games we played. I really want to do that again sometime. Right now I need to study for class tomorrow. This has been a long, but very fun weekend. 9/7-I had a very long day today. On top of my back to back government and history classes, I had to go to my history SI session right afterwards. I also had to go to the coop so I didn't get home until 7:30. I've read and talked to Heather and that's about all. 9/8-Hmm...what did I do today? Apparently I didn't do anything of importance because I don't remember it. Ellen and I tentatively scheduled a trip home for a month from today, October 8. It's after my first round of tests so it won't hinder my studying. My webcam is taking up entirely too much of my time, or it seems like it anyway. I've managed to get all my reading done though, so I'm better off that I think. I have an accounting quiz tomorrow that I feel fairly confident about which amazes me. 9/9-I had a long day, once again attributed to history and government. I made a 100 on my accounting quiz which I'm really happy about. Lately I've been noticing how beautiful Austin is. The sky has been cloudless, and the temperature and breeze are wonderful. It's awesome. Tonight Jill is supposed to be having some friends over, whom I believe I have met. If it's who I'm thinking of they are really nice. We're going to cook dinner and maybe watch a movie. It should be fun. Ellen and I have been trying to figure out something fun to do this weekend. We haven't had any luck yet, but we'll think of something. 9/10-I had class as usual. Some of Jill's friends came over again. Their names are Alex, Maggie, and Vanessa. They're all really cool. After they left I talked to Heather and Rob online, and we all played spades with Skip. I also did a little reading, which I should have done much more of. 9/11-It's patriot day and the three year anniversary of the 9/11/01. I was sitting in Mr. Rush's class when Mrs. Jacy came and told us. It doesn't seem like it has been three years since that happened. Where has the time gone? (Sorry for the cliche.) My aunt abd uncle came to Austin today. We went to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and out to eat. It was cool. After they left I went bowling at the Union with Ellen and some of her friends. I love bowling. I won one game and came in second in the other game. I wasn't doing too well. Seven different times I got one pin away from either a strike or a spare, depending on if my first or second turn was a gutterball or didn't knock the last pin over. It was really frustrating but I had a lot of fun. Today has been a great day and to top it off UT won! I'm going to meet Andrew at church tomorrow and then hopefully I can get a lot of reading done. 9/12-I went to church this morning and Andrew and I really liked it. I think we are both going to start going there. I went to the ladies sunday school class. It should be pretty good. The church is much bigger than my church at home, but I still like it. There seems to be lots of different opportunities. Anyway, Andrew is going to come over in a little while and wash clothes. After that I have to go to Wal-Mart and read a whole lot. Reading is not a wonderful way to end a great weekend, but it is very necessary. 9/13-My day has been pretty uneventful. I had mythology and psychology. Psychology is beginning to get boring. The professor spends 10 minutes discussing each set of data derived from each experiment supporting every point she tries to teach us. It seems a little uneccessary. We usually get the point without all the numbers, graphs, charts, statistics, and pictures. It is also really hot in the classroom, which makes it hard to pay attention, and it's at 3 in the afternoon (aka prime nap time). I wish I liked that class more because I love psychology. I can't believe it's only Monday. 9/14-I went to class as usual. After class, I took Ellen to HEB because she had to get stuff for the program she is having tomorrow. We also went and ate chinese food. It was delicious. I read a bunch and talked to Heather and Rob. I took some Benadryl a little while ago and it's knocking me out so that's all for now. 9/15-I have an accounting quiz tomorrow. Keep you fingers crossed for me. I got a lot of reading done today. I have everything read for history that is going to be on the first test in 8 days. Now I have to start actually studying instead of just reading. Ellen and I really want to go bowling again this weekend. It was fun and cheap. Maybe I can get good at it if I keep going. 9/16-Yesterday I asked everyone to keep their fingers crossed for my accounting quiz. Obviously noone did. It was terrible. At least she drops the lowest quiz grade. My history exam was moved back, which is only sort of good. It means that I have extra days to study, but it also means that I have three tests to study for while I'm home instead of just two. I didn't sleep very well last night and I've felt blah all day. I say 'blah' because I'm not sick. My nose is just stuffed up and I keep sneezing. I'm not really tired, but I'd rather be asleep than feel like this. I'm just incredibly glad that today is Thursday and I only have one more class this week. 9/17-I didn't do much today. Jill's friends came over and we cooked. It was really good, just like last weekend. I think this is the third weekend in a row we have gotten together and cooked. It's really fun. Evan, Jill's boyfriend, brought his guitar and played for us. It was cool. |
