5/2-We worked on my condo all day today. We got all the wall paper out of the kitchen. Now we have to do both bathrooms. I also bought a couch. It was a very spur-of-the-moment decision. I like it though. It's red with khaki piping. I have so much to do on the condo. I'm hoping that it will all come together. I showed it to Walker since he'll be living in it this summer. He really liked it.
5/3-All I did today was study and read. Well, I went to aerobics too, and checked classes I am planning on taking on the course schedule to see if they were full. Most of them were, so I have to redo my schedule. I have a presentation and economics test tomorrow. I'm not too worried about the presentation. I just want to get it overwith. The economics test, however, I am worried about. I studied with a girl though, so it should be ok. I just want tomorrow to be overwith.
5/4-Ok, today is over! The presentation went well. We only had small technical difficulties. I hate computers, but couldn't live without them. I did better than I thought I would on the economics test, and much better than I have done on the past two tests. I also had to redo my schedule. I like it better now I think. I register at 8 in the morning. Hopefully I'll be able to get the classes I want because I want to go straight back to sleep after I register. This is my question of the day...Do I pick a professor who gets good reviews, or one that gives good grades? I find it sad that sometimes you can't get both. Three more days...
5/5-I said three more days yesterday, but really it was only two more days because I don't have class on Friday. So that means only one more day!! I registered today at 8 this morning. I was planning on going back to sleep for an hour, but I didn't get two of the classes I was planning on taking so I had to stay up and find two more classes. They were listed as being open on the course schedule, so I don't know why they weren't. I'm taking accounting, the second semester of history and government, philosophy, mythology, and aerobics. I really would rather get into the two psychology classes I wanted instead of philosophy and mythology. Oh well. If I don't get in them later the ones I'm in now still fulfill a requirement. I also took Ellen to see my condo. She liked it. I want to hurry up and get stuff done in it. It needs a lot of work, or I have a lot planned for it rather.
5/6-FINALLY!! I was relieved after my last class, but not as relieved as I thought I would be. That's because I have 3 exams coming up. Tomorrow I have to get up relatively early (for a Friday) and get some stuff done before we go home. While at home, I'm going to have to finish a novel, read a bunch of New York Times articles, and study for my 3 tests. I am dreading it already. I found out today that I made an A on my project in business communication. That ensures my A in the class, which I need. Now I just have to make it to the end of the 18th, and I'll be good. Oh, but then the next day I have a consultation with my oral surgeon...
5/12-Ok...back in Austin. In Cleveland, I bought a dining table and welcome mat for my condo. Heather came back here with me to help work on it. My first test is on Friday. It's government so I'm not too worried.
5/13-We got most of the wallpaper off today. There are just a few little spots we have to work on tomorrow and then we have to sand everything. I have my government final at 9 in the morning. I should be studying right now, but I have absolutely no motivation to. I just want them to be over!
5/14-We finished stripping wallpaper today. Then we sanded the walls and started sanding the cabinets. We also decided on paint colors. We ate at Bennigans and I found something resembling a staple in my soup so I got my meal free. Luckily I didn't almost eat it or anything.
5/15-We stayed at the condo last night because the guy was supposed to come hook up the internet between 8 and 12. He came at 9 and then at 10 we went to IHOP. We went to one but it was packed so we went to another one and still had to wait for a table. Me and Heather ate dinner at Texadelphia and then went to Urban Outfitters and Barnes and Noble. Now I need to start studying...
5/16-My economics final is tomorrow. I'm really dreading it. Today we sanded cabinets at the condo and then came back to my dorm and took a long nap. I should really study but I don't have to get many questions right on the final to pass the class, which is all I want to do.
5/17-I took my second-to-last final this afternoon. I did good enough to pass. Yay! Heather and I cleaned the condo and then came back and started cleaning my dorm. I need to study some more for the history test I have in the morning. I have a bunch of stuff to do after my test before I can leave this place for good.
5/18-So this concludes my freshman year in college. Heather and I are about to leave my dorm room for the last time. I'm leaving this first year of college with the same feeling I left high school with..."That was it..?"
