4/20-I'm doing this big group project in business communication. The whole thing is worth 25% of my grade in that class. Right now, I have an A, but if this project and presentation don't go well it could drop my grade to a B. Today I volunteered to be the editor, which means I make the final copy of the project. It will be a lot of work since it is due on Friday, but it will ensure that I will get a good grade. I also signed up for a volunteer project, also on Friday. I hope they don't conflict somehow. My mom told me today that we aren't closing on the condo until the 29th. I was a little disappointed, but it's only 3 days later than planned so I'll live.
4/21-I worked on my business communication project all day today. Very tired....
4/22-Well, I only got 4 hours of sleep last night, but the project is done! Ellen and I went to Kinko's and printed it out. I think it looks pretty good. Hopefully my instructor think so since that part of it is 15% of my grade. I'm really tired and have had a headache all day from lack of sleep. I need to go to bed because I have that volunteer thing tomorrow and I have to get up at 7:30 and work until 5. I hope I enjoy it or I'll be miserable all day long.
4/23-Well, volunteering today was fun, but really tiring. It didn't help that I've only gotten 7 1/2 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours. It was ok though I guess. I don't have anything else to write about right now.
4/24-I didn't really do much of anything today. I have a lot of stuff to do, but I really don't feel like doing any of it.
4/25-I love days like this. It was very productive. I finished my second-to-last novel for history and went to my group meeting for business communication and got our whole presentation done. I feel so much better. The only thing I'm still worried about for this semester is economics. I don't know what I'm going to do about it. Then I have to whole calculus issue this summer to face.
4/26-I didn't really do anything interesting today. I went to aerobics, then I sat here at my desk for hours working on stuff. The ad for a roommate I put in the The Texan is running this week. It started today and I've already gotten one call. I hope I get a good response so I can quit worrying about finding a roommate. I want to find someone I really like, not jsut someone I can tolerate. I'm sure it will work out.
4/27-I had three people respond to my ad today. After talking to all of them, I'm back down to the very first girl that emailed me three weeks ago. One of the girls that called had a dog and needed a place with a yard, another one just needed a place for the summer, and the other one wanted something closer to campus. The girl that called yesterday also wanted something closer. At least people are responding. I'm hoping I'll find someone. My mom is coming to Austin this weekend to get the key from our Realtor, and help me start cleaning it and stuff.
4/28-I got almost nothing done today. I called the guy that's supposed to be the property manager at my complex, but he never called me back. I really needed to talk to him about the utilities. I didn't get any calls about my ad either. This whole roommate thing isn't going very well. There is only one person still considering it, and it's only because she's "keeping her options open." I've got to find SOMEONE. I wanted to be able to pick a girl that I would like and get along with, but I may just have to settle for someone.
4/29-Today was my third-to-last day of class. I had to sit through 3 boring presentations in business communication. My group has to do our presentation on Tuesday. Another girl called about the condo. She said she was wanting something closer to campus. She also asked if the pice was negotiable! All the people want something really cheap, and really close to campus. Anything that fits those criteria is going to be pretty dumpy. I hope they know that. Both of them still want to go see it though. My mom is coming tomorrow so we can get the keys and start ripping down UGLY wallpaper. We officially closed on it today. I also download a new version of Yahoo Messenger. It's awesome.
4/30-April went by really fast. Today was pretty boring. I read a lot, and typed some notes. My mom is in Austin now, and we ate at Kerbey Lane. We get to go get the keys to my condo tomorrow. That'll be cool. Today was the last day my roommate ad ran in the paper. I didn't get any calls though. I need a roommate! My mom told me that she heard that my future Calculus professor is really great. That was relieving/promising. I have realized that between May 1 and June 1 three of the worst things ever will happen to me. (1) I have to take 4 exams, 3 of which are finals. (2) I have 3 dentist appointments. One is a cleaning, one is a consultation, and one is to get my wisdom teeth cut out. (3) I have to start Calculus, which will consume 8 weeks of my summer. This month should be interesting.
