Campaign Objectives

This campaign was introduced in with the aims of improving Malta's urban environment, increasing the awareness to keep our urban environment clean, and to create an appreciation for pots and flowered pots

 

   

 

This campaign was introduced after ECO became aware that few Maltese houses took the initiative to plant flowered pots in their balconies, windows and verandahs.


With the help of a sponsor, a National competition was organized for the best decorated balcony and over 600 households participated in the yearly campaigns of the early 90s.


Since then, local councils are invited to organize the competition every year on a local level for the best balcony and the best street.
