| Comments: Janus is a male spotted Golden Agouti. He has one ch gene, however, and so this lightens his color up significantly. He has more of a lighter gray cast to his fur than a normal GA; this difference is obvious when comparing two GAs he has fathered, because if the mother has no recessive genes on the C locus, half of the pups will have his ch gene. This is the same gene that, when the individual is heterozygous on that locus, lightens Argente Golden to Argente Cream and Lilac to Dove, Dark Eyed Honey to Honey Cream, etc. | ||||
