| Random Thoughts for January 13, 2005: Oh, look! I'm updating this thing! This is only because Justin's new boyfriend (omg, sorry to all his current boyfriends that are reading this!) found it on the internet. He found it! What nerve! And then he read it! That is certainly a surprising and unexpected twist. So I'm going to try to write something interesting here, instead. That will show them, especially when I don't mention Justin or James once. Please, if I'm your boyfriend's best friend, please, please, please, don't look me up on the internet. I used to have these terrible bangs, and my past is terrifically shocking. Here's what's on my Winamp playlist right now: 1. www.woxy.com: Internet radio from Cincinatti that plays everyone's favorite bands. 2. Styrofoam ft. Ben Gibbard: Couches in Alleys (Sounds a lot like the Postal Service, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.) 3. Mates of State: Goods (Awfully peppy) 4. A.C. Newman: Miracle Drug (A very sly, unpredictably sweet little pop record.) 5. Walkmen: Little House of Savages (I saw them live this summer at the Rostraver Ice Garden with Wolf Parade and Modest Mouse. Even though it took place in a Rolling Rock-sponsored ice rink, it was an amazing show, especially if you like drunk white trash falling all over you.) 6. Luna: Astronaut (They just broke up, and are on their last tour.) 7. Mclusky: She Will Only Bring You Happiness ("Our old singer is a sex criminal.") 8. The Arcade Fire: Neighborhood #2 (Laika) (Sincerity is the new irony.) 9. Adem: These Are Your Friends (I like Adem, in that slowcore way. Take that as you will.) 10. Hope of the States: Enemies/Friends (Apparently, it's a wife-husband team. Whatever.) 11. Menomena: The Ladder (www.menomena.com: it will drive you insane, in that batty-cat way.) That's all. |
