Excel Lesson Plan

Reflection

I have used this project with teachers and students to introduce basic charting skills in Microsoft Excel

Teachers usually ask for handouts so that students have a reference when I am not available. But I have found that students are able to solve problems through trial and error and by asking each other. My usual method of introduce the application is to go into a computer lab with students and give them a hands-on introduction through modeling. The teachers can than assist those students who may need assistance as the class goes through the introduction.

This activity is most in demand before science fairs. Students usually come to the computer lab with their data from their science experiments and are ready to chart their data. The graphs are then added to their science fair projects.
