Serial Experiments Lain or Lain for short, is a very unique anime. If your looking for a happy peppy anime, turn around right now. This anime is very deep and takes most people a few times of watching episodes to figure out what in the world is going on. Although it is not happy or action oriented it is a very good anime. For people who liked movies such as the Matrix and The One lain is sort of the same kind of mindset.
There are a few differences that you need to know before you watch Lain or you will be lost. Computers are known as "Navis" and the internet is known as the "Wired". But you can still get lost in this anime knowing all of the lingo. It is a very complicated but well done anime. This anime would probley be a love or hate anime. You either love it or you can't stand it and you have no idea why people even recognize it.
