This little monster is far stronger than the end bosses of the game... it casts Dark Force on every character in your group as soon as you see it, and is capable of using sonic attacks, magma, Saint Beam, and even Ancient. It also summons level 99 greater demons who like to use Dark Force on your party and give you no experience points if you kill them. Every so often, it casts Dark Sabre on the whole party, making them completely impotent, and when it nears death, casts chain dark spells on itself, and multiple attack spells on the party, one after another, giving you no time to heal. Sound fun?
You can only fight it if your main character is Duran or Angela, because it lives in the Dragon's Hole. Try finding him after you kill the Scarlet Mage, because the secret entrance to his hole is sealed before then. He lives all the way North West, just above and west of the a tiny slope that you can slide down but not back up.
Well, I only beat it once, and it didn't even give me the special item it's supposed to. He's far stronger than Ryuutei or any of the other bosses. I was level 51 at the time I fought it. The party you should have to beat it most easily is:
- Duran (Paladin)
- Riisu (Star Lancer/Fenrir Knight)
- Charlotte (Evil Shaman)
This gives you: Light Sabre, Power Up/Down, Speed Up/Down, Magic Up/Down, Protect Up/Down, and Antimagic. You should also prepare some items:
- Paapapotto no Tsume (For light sabre)
- Doreiku no Uroko (For Power Up)
- Tsuki no Koin (For Max HP down)
If you can beat him, you might get the moogle belt. Maybe. I didn't.
