Reflective Analysis of Portfolio Artifact

·  Brief Description of Evidence:

 

I made this graph to show how the student did from the prescreening to the first nine weeks of school.  The tan is prescreening and green is the first nine weeks.  I made the graph to help show the parents how the students did but also assist when assessing the students.  There are four different categories, ABCs, abcs, Sounds, and Numbers.  If the student is able to recognize the letter, number, or sound then the student will get the box colored in showing which time of the year, they first where able to recognize it.

 

·  Analysis of What I Learned:

 

I will definitely use this in my classroom.  It was very easy to set up and eye pleasing to read and understand how the students are doing.  Another benefit is that it is a way to show parents how their students are doing.

 

·  How This Artifact Demonstrates my Competence on the INTASC Principle:

 

Formal assessment was used to find this information on the graph.  The students were asked to define what number, letter, or sound that was pointed out.
