Reflective Analysis of Portfolio Artifact
INTASC
# 2
· Brief Description of
Evidence:
The reading lesson was over Yours Truly Goldilocks. The story was about some main fairy tell
character such as, Goldilocks, The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood,
and Peter Rabbit. They wrote letters to
each other telling each other of their events and how they were doing after the
fairy tale event happened.
· Analysis of What I Learned:
Even if you have everything planned out, the plans can go
astray. The students enjoyed the story,
because they already knew a lot of the information, such as the characters
history. This showed me the importance
of the students’ prior knowledge of the material in the lesson.
· How This Artifact
Demonstrates my Competence on the INTASC Principle:
I made sure that the lesson gave the students two different
ways to connect with the story. One was
a discussion of the fairy tales involved in the lesson ahead of time. We also discussed letters that they may have
written or received and this also helped the students understand the purpose of
a letter.
