Dear Mr. and Mrs.
Staley,
I am Catherine’s kindergarten teacher and
my name is Mrs. Jen Brown. I have been
teaching at Warren Early Childhood Education for two years now. I have a degree in Early Childhood and Mild
Special Education. With this degree, I
am able to teach from birth to 3rd grade and Kindergarten to 12th
grade as a Special Education teacher. I
am very delighted to have Catherine in my classroom. You and Catherine might be experiencing feelings of excitement
and hesitation about this kindergarten year.
I hope this letter answers any questions or concerns you might have
about kindergarten.
Kindergarten is a very essential
year. The students and I will be
learning by interacting with each other during centers, hands-on activities,
and discovery opportunities. I will be
teaching your child, but I will also be learning about Catherine while I am
teaching. Catherine will be learning
about her numbers from 0 – 10, shapes, how to write words, social skills, and
science.
You
are Catherine’s first teacher and will always be her teacher. It is very important to me that we want the
same things for Catherine. By working
together, we will be benefiting Catherine’s future success.
These are some of the things that I
will be contributing to our partnership for Catherine.
My classroom is always open to you
and the rest of the parents. I hope to
see you many times throughout the school year.
I am willing to meet with you at any time. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year
please feel free to call me at school (555-2345) or email me at
([email protected]).
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jen Brown
