United averaged over 48,000 for home games in the 2nd Division. It was the highest in the country.Makes the knobheads who say that all United's supporters are gloryhunting bandwagon jumpers look like idiots. Not that that's hard though!!
The atmosphere at some of these games was fantastic.I've been out of England since all seater stadiums became the norm so I find it hard to imagine what the atmosphere is like these days.
I know for a fact that it was great during the Docherty era.
