The word "Canada" is what the French explorer Jean Cartier misheard of "Kanata," the word for "town" in the Iroquois langwage. The name stuck, and its an image Canadians don't mind: their huge country, friendly as a town. Canada is divided into 10 provinces and 2 territories. Canada stretches from the pacific ocean on the west, to the Atlantic Ocean on the east. Northern Canada reaches into the Arctic Circle, while southern Canada stretches below the northern points of the United States.
Copy the map and paste it in your document. Use the drawing tools in Word to make 5 thick arrows that point to important things in Canada.
