There are over 7,000 prisoners

To voice the utmost opposition to the genocidal massacre committed against peaceful demonstrators in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. On April 18,2001 the world has witnessed one of the most brutal measure taken against peaceful students since the Tienemen Square massacre. As reported by eyewitness account "Hundreds of heavily armed Zenawi's riot police stormed central Addis Ababa shooting live ammunition, beating up civilians including women and children."
The result is the killing of 41 innocent student and the wounding of 250 civilians as well as the impressments of thousands of peaceful protestors without the due process of the law.
The purpose of this demonstration is to expose the murderous crime being committed against the Ethiopian people by Zenawi’s dictatorial regime, to show our full solidarity to the fallen martyr of the Ethiopian Students and to appeal to various international organizations for judicial measures to be taken against the perpetrators of these crimes in expeditious way.
