Are you looking to help animals? This is a great way to do so! There are many different volunteer jobs that you can do to help out the shelter. They are as little as donating a few items to actually volunteering at the shelter for a few hours a month! Here are some of the jobs that you could do to help out:

1. Volunteering at the Shelter

For this job, you will have to be at least 16 years of age. Your tasks will be the following:
Cleaning Cages
Cleaning Litterboxes
Feeding
Playing with the animals
Answering the phone
3 hours minimum a month

This is one of the most enriching things you'll ever do. To volunteer, call the shelter at 766-0377.

2. Foster Care

When you want to help animals but can't work in the shelter this is a great thing to do. Foster caring is temporarily caring for an animal in your home that may have special needs. If your interested in doing this please call the shelter.

3. Work at a fundraiser

Volunteer Services for Animals hold numerous events throughout the year to raise money for pet food and veterinary care. If you want to help, please give them a call!

4. Crafters

Can you knit, crochet or bake? Put your talents to use for raffles and sales. Home-made items sell great! And you'll be helping the animals with the money they make for the shelter.

5. Education

Educate kids and adults on proper care for pets. You could give talks and deciminate educational material.
