I have used other people's quotes to help me explain my love for you.

"If you press me to say why I loved him, I can say no more than it was because he was he and I was I."
Montaigne

>> I have been looking for this goddamn quote forever, and that's why I put it first on this page. This is the best explanation of how I feel, believe it or not. I can never explain to anyone why or how I love you, except that you are who you are, and I am who I am. That's all there is to it. And that I fell in love with you because of who you really are, who has a soul one in the same as me.

"We are shaped and fashioned by what we love." -Goethe

>> Just like this quote says, because I love you so much, you shaped who I was to a great degree. The whole "Mexican thing" remember? Hehe. :) A part of you is with me every day.

"Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to be involved with them. Love is not a bandage to cover wounds." - Hugh Elliott

>> Even if I were to never see you or talk to you again, I know my love for you would last. I like this quote because it shows that no matter what happens, my love for you is always strong.

"True love is like ghosts, which everybody talks about and few have seen." -La Rochefoucauld

>> Hehe, I love this one too, because I feel similarly. Everyone talks about how they truly love someone, and although to some extent it may be true, my love for you comes from somewhere else. It seems very spiritual and is something that could never be explained in words, and when I think about it, it's a huge feeling that I will never be able to truly understand. And I think a lot of people experience this to some degree - a connection with someone and whatnot, but I feel so alone in that I don't feel as though every person in this world gets to feel what I feel for you.

"Love everlasting: a feeling unknown, unhoped for, unexpected--in so far as it could be a matter of conscious awareness; it took entire possession of him, and he understood, with joyous amazement, that this was for life." - Thomas Mann

>> Whoa...this comes close to kinda explaining how I feel. My love for you purifies my mind and my heart, and I just know I will love you for life, because my love is based on love for the deepest part of who you really are...your beautiful heart and mind, and everything I always see good about you. :)

"They do not love that do not show their love." - William Shakespeare

>> This one I included because, I have to sometimes show you my love. I mean it's weird, there is no way I can usually keep this inside of me (that's why I'm making this web page! hehe).

"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same." -Emily Bronte

>> YES! Now this is what I'm talking about... this comes closer to how I feel too. I've thought this to myself many times. The deepest part of who you really are, behind all the shit, is what I fell in love with...and that is why my love will last forever. But I feel like this is why I'm so deeply in love and have stayed that way, is because whatever it is your "soul" and my "soul" is made of, it's just the same. I don't know.

"We loved with a love that was more than love." -Edgar Allen Poe

>> Whoa... a lot of times I have said that what I feel for you is more than love. The reason I feel like that is because when I say "I love you" or to myself I say "I love him so much," that doesn't even seem to do it justice. Like I said before, it's a feeling that is way bigger than I can understand, and trying to put it into words is selling it short. It's something much more deep than just "I love that person."
