| What I Love You Really Means There are kids these days that say the words but dont know what they mean Some day Id like to talk with them and explain what is unseen. What I Love You really means Id start off my little talk, Is that youre in for the long, hard road on which you both will walk. Though love brings joy and pleasure untold, theres fire and ice there too. Some of the things I Love You means you wont be prepared to pursue. I Love You means Ill take care of you when you can no longer care for yourself, It means that I am willing to put my wants and needs on a shelf. I Love You in the strongest form is pure like a young white lamb. It means that Ill take care of you when you dont even know who I am. Some days it may mean admitting youre wrong just to end a fight. Others it may be sleeping close to hold each other tight. For some it may be grieving a loss which leaves your heart in despair, and always knowing without being told that your lover will always be there. Some love might encounter the greatest pain and trials ever known. While others may glide through this thing called love with nothing but happiness sown. I hope you see now, dear children, that I Love You is not just a phrase. What I Love You really means is Im there through the darkest of days. ~Erin Bryant February 6, 2003 |
