Dreaming about friends or family, good things you want to dream of good things, but in your gut you can't because you know you'll never wake up. So you start trying to make yourself wake up. thinking about youself and how soon the dreams will stop and it will all be blackness...... dark..... death, nothing. So you start to try and make yourself wake up... You just have to wake up! But there is one problem, one nightmare and it's so calm, so cold and perfect as to personify evil. You can't wake up. No matter how hard you try, you can't wake up. So you die that way. In the most miserable state of torture imagineable.
