Today was the emergency test system day for The Tom Green Show.  Our producer, Merilyn Read, played a little joke on all of us.  She pushed some panic buttons.   See Merilyn made us all believe that we had sent a show tape to the network which didn't have any audio on it.  She made us believe we sent the wrong tape.  Ray, Derek, myself, and Merilyn all converged at the television station, frantically looking for the right tape.  We searched through our cabinet, we searched through our tape cases, we searched every inch of the television station in Ottawa looking for this mystery tape.  We were all quite frantic.  So frantic that none of us noticed Merilyn struggling to contain her snickers.  You see Merilyn was playing a joke on the three of us.  It was an emergency test.  She was testing our team to see how we would act in an emergency.  We responded well I think.

Later in the day another panic button was engaged.  A phone call from Toronto came in at ten minutes to five.  This call was from Steve who is one of the shows executive producers.  He said we needed to get a tape to Toronto, immediately, so that it could be used the following day by a CBC reporter.  Frantically we pulled all the appropriate strings.  We tracked down the tape, we made a dub, we got it to Purolator, all before the 8:00 deadline when the last mail truck leaves town...  We later found out that this was also an elaborate test.  Indeed Steve was only playing a prank on us, to see if we were able to respond well under high pressure situations.  In fact the tape was not needed in Toronto at all.  Again however we did pass this test.

I noticed the message board has been down today.  The message board hasn't been working.  Just to let everybody know why...  I think Glenn is in Toronto this week working.  The message board is run directly off his computer, and I guess Glenn isn't in town here to fix it.  I think he is back tomorrow so it should be fixed soon.

Glenn makes seventy five thousand dollars per year working for a major computer company.  Glenn Humplik is rich and he owns his own house in a wonderful location in downtown Ottawa.  Glenn is always being flown on business to many exotic cities across Canada.  Glenn is actually a little bit too good for his friends now, but occasionally he does still have time to talk to the little people.  Glenn is a computer genius.  So is Phil.  Phil is also rich from computers.  Glenn Humplik makes all the digital animation's that occur during the show.  You know thos weird animation's that pop up between segments.  Glenn makes all of those on his computer at home using a program called Macro media Director.  That is an expensive program, but Glenn can afford it because he is rich.  He can also afford it because he stole it.

My mother is going to New York City this weekend and she wants to borrow my suitcase.  I am going to go do my laundry tomorrow at my parents house.  Usually when I do my laundry, I carry my dirty clothing in a suitcase.  Tomorrow when I go to do my laundry, I will leave my suitcase at my parents house.  I will have to bring my clean clothing back in a garbage bag.  My mother does not want to carry her things to New York in a garbage bag.  The cool thing about using my suitcase every time I go to do my laundry, is that my neighbors often see me in the hallway with a suitcase.  It creates this myth around my neighborhood that I go on a lot of trips.  I would like to take this opportunity to let the people in my neighborhood know that I do not go on many trips.  I would like to let these people know that in fact I am just doing laundry.  Someone asked me once why I don't just use a hamper?  I still to this day cannot figure how I would get it through the metal detector.

I am going to bed now.
I love you.
