I am going to enter the time I write my entry at. For some reason I think it makes the entry make more sense. As you can see this entry was written at 6:oop.m.
I just found out that I am going to be on Mike Bullards show. Open Mike with Mike Bullard airs on The Comedy Network, and on CTV. I think the date has been set for a week from tommorow. That's Tuesday February 10. I hope you tune in okay?
I'll probably be heading down to Toronto for two or three days to do press. I think I'm gonna do some radio, and newspaper interviews... stuff like that. There's a lot going on right now. I have to make time to edit and complete the shows, but I also have to prepare some sort of plan for these interviews. I'm probably gonna look like some loser. I don't want to be sitting there getting interviewed looking like some loser. I don't really want people to watch me sitting there on Mike's show and say to themselves..."Who is this loser".
I'm sure if somebody in Calgary tunes in, and they've never seen the show before... I am sure they will think I'm a loser. I often think people are losers when I see them on TV. For sure those same people will think that I am a loser. I am a loser. That's the scary fact... I really am a loser and people are gonna nail me for that next Tuesday night. And that is why I have this huge uphill battle to try to distract television viewers, and make them maybe not notice how much of a loser I truly am. I have to distract them!
This editing thing is becoming a bit of a nightmare. I'm going in tonight at 11 and I'll probably be editing all night. There is to much work to be done right now on the show and we don't really have a big enough budget for a big staff. It basically means that Ray and I end up doing all the technical stuff. Ray Hagel is the show's director. I think Ray is going to stop coming in to the rough edit sessions, he's gonna concentrate on audio post-production. I'm gonna go in to the edit suite alone and throw most of the jokes together. I think I can probably whip off a couple of shows per week. That's with good luck.
Last night was fun. My girlfriend is pretty good at darts, she almost beat me. We had a lot of fun and we didn't fight. It was fun that we didn't fight with each other. I don't really like fighting with my girlfriend that much. Sometimes I do though.
Humplik called a funding agency in Toronto. He is trying to apply for a grant so we can produce a video for MC Face. We are both really excited about this new track we just recorded, Big Googely eyes. (MC Face is a rapper that I am producing... I have never seen MC Face because he always wears a mask.) Big Googely Eyes! Man that's the shit!
Not much else really happened today... Oh yeah, I drank four Carnation Instant Breakfasts. I think I'm losing weight... cause when I get stressed out I stop eating. I just lose my appetite. Plus I so busy recording music with Face that sometimes I forget to eat meals... So I went to the grocery store and I bought some of these Instant Breakfast's. It's basically like a chocolate milk mix... but it is filled with vitamins and it is equal to a meal. I drank four of them today. Plus I had two of those Mr. Noodles chicken soups... You know the type that are mostly noodles. I also had a piece of Brie cheese. I like that stuff.
I have this weird new goal of trying to become an alcoholic. I feel now that I am out on my own, living in my own apartment that it would be cool to become an alcoholic. So I had this bottle of Grand Marnier that I got for Christmas... but the thing is... is I don't really have any nice glasses... Not for liquer at least... So I've been drinking Grand Marnier out of a coffee cup... And I will be honest with you it really does ruin the experience. It doesn't even taste like Grand Marnier in a coffee cup.
So I went to buy some beer, and I bought it at the liquor store... not the beer store. And I noticed that they also had these gift sets that they hadn't sold since Christmas. These gift sets were like real cheap... but the thing is, they contained two glasses. So I bought this "Gin Gift Set" I bought it for 12 bucks. And the only reason I bought it was because it had two Martini glasses with it. And I figured I could drink my Grand Marnier out of the Martini glasses. I figured it would feel better than out of a coffee cup. So the only reason I bought the Gin was for the glasses. I didn't by the Gin for the Gin. And man does Gin ever suck! I can not tell you how much Gin sucks. I don't think you're supposed to drink it straight. I think you're supposed to mix it with Vermouth and make Martini's. Man does Gin ever taste bad straight.
Anyway, I'm gonna get some sleep now... it's 6:30 and I have to go edit all night in a couple of hours.
