Elements of a successful program

I was introduced to adventure learning as a participant in a 21 days Outward Bound Course program as a young officer cadet in 1990. It was a profound experience and it led on to my 1st job as a trainer with National Leadership Training Institute. Here I had the opportunity to experiment with different activities and learn from both my peers and the participants whom I worked with. These were formative years and they also constitute my base competencies in this medium of learning. Adventure curriculum developed must have an element of fun that will prod the participant to think laterally and work with others in a team based environment. Trust between the facilitator and the participants is paramount. What constitutes a good successful program?... Just click on.

Seen here is my climbing buddy Mike.
This was a climbing adventure at Batu caves Kuala Lumpur,
I am attempting a lead climb on a limestone slab(1996)

On this trip, I nearly had a bad accident and Mike seen in the picture was very close to being hit by a granite slab the size of a football I dislodged while climbing a route. Had Mike been hit by the falling rock and let loose the rope I was climbing on......we would have been badly injured.
