Evening Star in the travel lift
We returned to the Gold Coast and stored the yacht in the Hope Harbour Marina and went south to our little apartment in Melbourne, had a great time with Jane and Guy and then arrived back in Hope Harbour in Feb 2004 and it was bloody hot and humid thank good ness for the Air cons on the yacht, hauled out and antifouled and polished and prepared to go North.
DH.Chipmunk
Just before departing we caught up with Don and his Chipmunk, no I did not fly it. We powered North with the 120HP iron headsail and light winds and had a great trip up the inland waterways and on to Moololaba and tied up for a few days and visited friends in Noosa then on through the Wide Bay Bar up to Gary's Anchorage and the sunsets arrived again
The road South
We arrived at Bustard Head and viewed the lighthouse with great old friends (Nick et al) from Brisbane, we purchased the Lighthouse Keeper books and Julie got bitten alive by sandflies
