| The Adoption | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Finally the judge went around the room, and everyone present stood and spoke a few words indicating their recommendation that the adoption be granted. We were then asked to step out of the room while he conferred. Only a few minutes later we were ordered to return and without much preamble heard the words we had prayed so fervently for It is the decision of this court that the adoption of Tanya Sheglova SALISBURY be granted to Ms. Elizabeth Anne Salisbury. A ten-day waiting period is imposed to allow for any challenges or questions to be addressed. Court dismissed! There is no way to end this story, as its truly only the beginning. We are still discovering ways God has used this adoption saga to reach many hearts and minds. I know that judge will never be the same againneither will the other officials present. Natasha received confirmation of Gods presence and love in her life, something Ive been praying for as long as Ive known her. My faith hit the ceiling, and Tanya received the greatest gift a child can receivea family where she truly belongs. My Father really loves me, she said. I know our God was glorified in that room that day, and I pray He will continue to use us Salisbury women to live out the gospel in every step we take. God demands that we be holy, for He is holy. In every aspect of this case, I have studiously obeyed Gods Word, taught it to this beloved child God entrusted to my care, and the reward is His blessing and grace. I left that courtroom thinking, If God can do this, He can do ANYTHING! Now I wonder whats next... |
