Despite the fact that Borgman began selling his DVD Special Edition, Director's Cut of The Deserter for pre-order on February 22, 2006, Washington's Birthday, in honor of the first president, Washington retreated to a more serious environment.
Borgman said, "I'm sorry he didn't find the film serious enough, however, I believe the real reason he fled was because everytime he laughed his teeth kept falling out!"
