Dr.Ebadat Brelvi

This was the complete manuscript left by Dr.Ebadat Brelvi which was published by his wife Mrs.Fehmida Ebadat under the self explanatory title of �Maulana Hasrat Mohani .The authoritative book was launched after a few months of Dr.Brelvi�s death by Idara-I-Tanqeed-o-Adab in collaboration with the Pakistan Academy of Letters. In this book Dr.Ebadat Brelvi has highlighted various important aspects of Hasrat Mohani�s life, which includes his, personality, his way of recitation and experiences. Hasrat Mohani is held in the highest esteem as a Ghazal writer known as RAIS-UL-MUTGHAZZALEEN, passages from his poems are quoted in everyday conversation. However he was modest to the core, as he says himself:

�Hasrat bahut heh martaba-I- ashiqi buland
Ham ko to muft logon nein mashhoor kar dia�

As mentioned by Dr.Ebadat,

�Hasrat Mohani dwelled a new world in his poetry and tied up new ideas and rose up new topics. His way of presentation had
a differentiating simplicity. His distinguishing style gave a new turn to Urdu poetry and presented unlimited pen pictures, which
portrays the emotions and thoughts of an ordinary person. Mohani�s was a multifaceted personality. Entering the political arena
as a young man, he struggled all his life against the Raj.
All these specialties collectively made him an undisputed modern Ghazal writer.�
