I attended the 10th Annual 4runner jamboree at Johnson Valley and had a blast. We spent the night on the dry lake bed in tents and sleeping bags. It was a lot of fun to see the modifications people have been doing to they're 4runners. I remember one of the toyotas had a turbo Supra engine and Dana 60 axle(s).
There was another guy with a '94 Corvette engine. Oddly enough, I had to tow him out of there. He roasted his starter and had to be towed back to camp. It was an automatic so he couldn't bump start it either. Despite his efforts to get a 4.3L starter to fit, I had to tow him to the road for AAA to pick him up. How typical, a Ford towing a Chevy.
The bad news is I only got 2 pictures on sledge hammer and they were in the same spot a different angles. I had to turn around because I love my truck too much. Farther up the trail, one guy took out his door on a rock. I don't find that as fun.>
The '03 4runner Jamboree was a lot of fun. Dispite problems with the motorhome and getting there 12 hours late, we had a good time. I was able to get a whole bunch of more pictures for the website. Click on the link below to read my write up and see my pictures.
