Other Career Highlights: David Flair defeated his father, the legendary "Nature Boy" Ric Flair on February 10th, 2002 at EAW Cataclysm in a street fight. When the assigned referee was knocked out, David took off his shirt to reveal a referee's shirt underneath (!) announced he had a referee's license, and refereed his own match. Via this, he was able to award himself the win after a grueling, bloody match put Ric in the Figure Four...then when Ric's shoulders were down, he slapped the mat three times in a VERY fast count to award himself the win.

David Flair became the first EAW wrestler to defeat Alexander Nagol when he pinned him February 22nd, 2002 in a Triangle Match with Nagol's Extreme Title, David's MPRW Public Access Title, and Ninja X's Cruiserweight Title. However, Ninja X was the end victor of that match. 1
