Wonderland
Prologue
I didn't want to end up like this,
it's not my fault my parents died, I'd give anything to get away from this
place. My name is Alice, one of the forgotten ones. One of the thousands of
people who live in the subway tunnels beneath New York City, most of you don't
know that we are here, but we are. I live in the tunnels with a group of people
I call my family. There's Dan and Dee, they are the cutest couple you will
ever meet, they even finish each others sentences. They also happen to be
really cute guys so I like hanging out with them. Hatcher is obsessed with
having people move from the seat they are on to another one like every 10
minutes, I think he has OCD but I try not to judge people. We also have White,
he's an albino speed addict who acts like he's always let getting somewhere.
Then there's my pet Chessy, he is so cute and well behaved, most people would
think it's weird that I have a pet rat, but he is incredibly
smart. Like all families we have our problems, most of our problems is because
of Captain Heart. Captain Heart is the leader of the NYPD taskforce to get
the homeless out of subway tunnels. She's always coming into our home and
telling us to leave, we do, but we always come back, it is home after all.
Then there is me Alice, Alice Walker is my full name, I'm a 19 year old girl
that's been living in the tunnels since I was 17 when my parents died. No
one was left to help me, so I ran, I ran until I couldn't run anymore, that's
where I met Dee&Dan and they offered me a place with them. It's a little
more run down then I expected but it's home. The bad thing is I had a LSD
problem before I was homeless and lately the trips have been getting worse.
When I trip it's like I'm in this other world that is completely different
from anything I know. I just hope the trips end soon, because I'm getting
to the point where i never want to leave
that little world of my own.
