rubbish has finally completed two songs for their upcoming EP single "Home". Tracks "Home" and "Once In A While" were both completed as recordings/mixed on Weds July 4th, and mastered on Mon July 9th. rubbish will be releasing these two songs as a promo for the upcoming EP on Fri July 13th, where it will be available through the band members and the official site for $5.
rubbish is pleased to announce a confirmed show at The Underground (Bank St.) on Saturday, July 14th. Specific details of the show have not yet been released, but rubbish is to headline, taking the stage at 10pm.
In other news, rubbish has begun pre-production on a music video for their latest single "Home". Working with a videographer attending Concordia University in Montreal, rubbish hopes to conclude tapings for the video by the end of the summer and complete editings by the end of September. After a couple meetings with the director of the video, rubbish has laid down an almost definate concept for the video. Featuring part storyline footage and part live footage the video has just entered into the storyboarding stage. ANYONE WANTING TO BE IN THE VIDEO IS ASKED TO SEND AN EMAIL TO [email protected] whereby they will be told the details of when/where the shoot that they can be a part of will take place. rubbish encourages all those to come out and be a part of the video.
Updates to the site include a new show in the shows section and new pics of Ryan with his side project factor eight.

rubbish entered the studio to work on their latest single tentively titled "Home" due out in late July. Recording at Distortion Studios One with big time producer Jay Ruston (THERMOclinE, 54stance, Hydrofoil, etc.), the EP will be the first recording to feature the newest addition to rubbish, guitarist Tristan Knott. Included on the EP will be the title track "Home", a new version of "Once In A While", a new acoustic version of "Under Attack", and another as of yet undecided acoustic song. Yesterday drum, bass, and Pat's guitar tracks for both "Home" and "Once In A While" were all laid down. Chris' vocal tracks for "Once In A While" was also recorded. The next studio date is Wednesday July 4th, where rubbish hopes to finish Tristan's guitar tracks for both songs and complete both Chris and Tristan's vocal tracks for "Home". The acoustic songs will be done sometime in the near future.
rubbish wishes to thank those in attendence for their show Canada Day at the Nepean Splx. rubbish played an hour long set to a good sized crowd who had come out to celebrate the days festivities. rubbish also wishes to thank Jan Harder for organizing such a successful day for the community, Jan's assistant Karen Hogan for including them on the bill, and Leanna Kurs for providing guest vocals on "Perfect Remedy For A Bad Day".
