| Happy Halloween!! Now that it is autumn, we know that many of you are going to venture out in search of the beautiful scenery that Tennessee has to offer. Nothing builds up an appetite like a day full of viewing fall colors on the Cumberland Plateau. If your travels take you anywhere near Fairfield Glade, stop and have a bite to eat at Manny�s & Isabella�s on Peavine Road. We did not know what to expect when we recently made our first visit to Manny�s & Isabella�s. As it turns out, we found the best value for lunch that we have seen in ages. They offer a full menu plus several daily specials to choose from. The menu included a BLT, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Hoagie, Rueben, Veggie Burger, Portobello Burger, and Philly Steak. If you are really hungry, try the Rib Eye Steak, Pork Chops, Grilled Salmon, Fried Clams, Catfish, or Veal Marsala. You will not go wrong with any of these choices. However, during our visit, we decided to skip the menu and try a few of the daily specials. We sampled the Homemade Clam Chowder and Chicken Noodle Soup. Both were excellent. We also tried the Perch & Shrimp Combo Platter and the Spinach & Mozzarella Ravioli covered in a hearty Tomato and Meat Sauce. Everything we ate was well cooked and delicious. For dessert we were treated to some of the best Homemade Strawberry and Rhubarb Pie we have ever eaten. We were very pleased with all aspects of the meal, and even more pleased when the bill arrived at our table. Manny�s & Isabella�s had stuffed us to the gills for under $9.00. If you decide to visit during dinner hours, we recommend that you splurge on the Rack of Lamb, Trout, Salmon, Grouper, Scallops, or Oysters. Also, if you find yourself with no place to go for Thanksgiving Dinner, Manny�s & Isabella�s is taking reservations now for their Thanksgiving Buffet. All the Turkey, Ham, and trimmings you can eat for $11.95. For more information, call them at 931-456-2394. All this fine food can be yours from Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Lunch and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Dinner. They are closed Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
