Imagine the convenience of walking off the plane, going through customs and having someone there to meet you. After you have gone through customs we will be waiting for you with a sign that clearly shows your name. After Introductions we take you straight to our Vehicle for departure.
DAY 1-TRANSPORT
You will travel in a large and comfortable, air conditioned 7 seater 4 wheel drive Vehicle from The airport to Matamata, this is the home of the Hobbits from the Lord Of the Rings movies.
This trip will take approximately 1hr and 30 min from Auckland Airport and 30 minutes from Hamilton Airport.
You will then be taken to your motel, which we have pre-booked for you, to rest and be ready for day two in NZ.
DAY 2
After a good nights rest we will pick you up and escort you to the information tourist centre in Matamata to begin the tour of Hobbitton! From here you will be taken to the farm that was transformed into the magical Hobbits home from The Lord of the Rings Movie. This has just recently been opened to the public and the guided tour will offer you a unique insight into the construction and filming of hobbiton during the Lord of the Rings Movies.
After the tour we will pick you up from the Matamata information centre, you may first want to look around Matamata Township and we are very committed in keeping your experience as relaxed and as flexible as possible if this is the case.
From Matamata we will begin the short trip to the well-known tourist destination of Rotorua. This is the main tourist City in the North Island and is world renown for it's brilliant thermal attractions, Maori Cultural experiences and a million and one activities.
Before you reach this tourist city however we will give you a taste of real rural New Zealand with an excursion tour over a large scale working NZ dairy unit, Sharlands Farm. There will be no souvenir shops here, no staged demonstrations just an opportunity to see how a normal large scale 800 cow dairy farm of this type operates.
New Zealand Dairy farming is unique by world standards as cows are fed on virtually a total pastoral out door system.
You will be able to interact with the animals watch any day to day operations such as milking etc and get the opportunity to stroll through some of the unique native forestry that is also a part of 'Sharlands Farm'. There will also be the thrill of an adventurous four-wheel drive track to navigate as we explore this area. We will begin this session with a barbeque lunch.
From here we will take you to your Rotorua accommodation and say our goodbyes.

During our time together we would have discussed options and given you brochures, information and advice to help make the rest of your trip an enjoyable one.
