We started with a Don Post Boba Fett helmet. But to make this helmet look authentic to the movies, it needed some alterations. The visors on the "stock" helmets consist of a flimsy tinted eyepiece and a large solid plastic piece, which forms the "T" shape. But as you can see from this picture, we have removed them and sanded the inside edges smooth. We then added a solid, one-piece, T-shaped clear Lexan plastic visor section, using epoxy to secure it into place. For the dark tint on the visor, we used automotive window tinting film. |
