"Coalie", as he is affectionately called, is our junior breeding stallion. He is a wonderful old-fashion Classic pony with abundant mane and tail--and it's getting thicker and longer all the time. He has a beautiful way of moving, with grace and spirit. We have owned him since he was 3 months old. He is now 7 yrs., and has been used selectively on our broodmares. He has given us wonderful friendly foals, who take after their sire, with that "look at me attitude". He has also given us color from black to buckskin to palomino. He was slow to "come into his own", but "WOW" when he did...
He's full of vigor, but not unruly; is easily handled, and is loaded with personality and charisma, and, I am sure he knows it, too!!
He is one of my very favorite ponies on our farm, and a huge favorite with visitors. We often have people come back just to take pictures of him--he is definitely one of the farms "stars"! We are so grateful to my dear friend and fellow American Shetland breeder, Janet Binns, for giving us the opportunity to own this wonderful pony. |
