Get ready for a fun, artful experience in The East Village
March 13, 17, &
18, 2004!
It is a fundraiser for kids with cancer. You can donate NOW
"on-line" at www.StBaldricks.org. Donate to a "shavee" then come to see them go bald at one of our three events. Barbers will be buzzing or shaving heads to
simulate kids who loose their hair through chemotherapy. Two will be doing
hot-lather, straight razor shaves with hot towels. Others will be buzzing to
any length you choose. Men and women, boys and girls are welcome. Artists
will be looking for heads to decorate, paint and beautify! If you choose to
be decorated, you and your artist will be entered into a competition for
special prizes. Your facial hair can also be part of that design. Stay for
lunch or dinner at  the restaurants. Everyone is invited to attend our
Second Saturday Art Walk featuring "Exposure" a world-class photography
exhibit a few steps away on March 13th. About 100 artists will be showing
and selling their art  in the East Village Arts District. Bands will play,
and you will have a blast! If you want to buzz or shave your head by asking
your friends and family "How much would you pay me to shave my head"?, they
can donate in your name on the St. Baldrick's web site at:
www.StBaldricks.org Please register today! We will be taking "Before" photos
at Hamburger Mary's once a week  beginning NOW!  Our schedule is: March
13th- Hamburger Mary's Restaurant. March 17th- New York Bryan's Deli. March

Do you care enough about kids with cancer to raise money this March?

The East Village Association is sponsoring three events to raise $50,000 for kids with cancer through the National Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF). The downtown Long Beach events will benefit in part Miller Childrens Hospital at Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach.
Donate: You can sponsor a shavee by donating in their name on-line. Just find the Locations and type-in Long Beach, CA. You will see names of people listed at the below places. We invite you to attend an event or two.

Become a shavee: All you have to do is grow come hair. You will then ask friends and family How much will you pay me to shave my head for kids with cancer? As a potential Shavee you will register on the St. Baldricks web site, and people can donate on-line in your name. You can also form a celebration team and get credit for your organization, workplace, or union. You can get your hair cut by a professional barber to any length you want. Try a hot lather, straight razor shave with hot towels. You can come to one of three events being held in downtown Long Beach this March. If you are already partly bald or shave, we will buzz or shave whatever you have left. You can also raise money by shaving your beard or moustache. Men, women and kids all participate in this great cause. Check- out our web site NOW!!!
