Tim Berners-Lee
Tim Berners-Lee is one of the biggest innovators of how we use the web today. Without Lee I doubt the Internet would be even close to how accesible it is today. Lee started out working for Cern in 1984 part-time. after recieveing a full-time position he began to take off with his ideas. The main problem was that cerns network featured many different computers, so to access or add to the main data one had to transfer everything into the same typ as the main CERN computer. In 1989 Lee release the first step in solving this problem Hypertext Transfer Protocol, http. This made it so files wold have adresses on the internet, not on indvidual computers. He also made at this time the URI Universal Resource Identifier or as know today URL Universal Resource Locator. HE then created a browser that worked with these programs and which used HTML, Hypertext Markup Language. YEs Html is also the creation of Lee. On top of that he created the first web server, this allowed websites to be projected on the Internet not read off of another computer. After all this CERN did not really acknowledge him. In 1991 he created his Wold ide Web Browser, which quickly became popular among scientist. These are the main reasons why Tim Berners-Lee is considered on of the Fathers of the Internet and if you look yo'll notice that almost every one of these functions is still being used today.
