Spring has sprung and I have the fever, Nancy and I are looking forward to seeing our old friends and we are definitely ready to go camping. The April campout will be held on April 24, 25 and 26 at Camp Swatara in Bethel. PA. Our hosts for this campout are Dennis and Carolyn Dendler who will be preparing chicken corn noodle soup,s alad and bread for your arrival on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, Nancy and I will be hostinga breakfast style brunch at 10:00 a.m. Campfires and movies, weather permitting.
NOTE: Dennis will be paying the deposit prior to the campout, however the Campground may be collecting the Campground fee balance as your arrive. Please be prepared to pay them at that time.
Note from Our Wagonmistress Janine: We will be selling raffle tickets for two prizes for awarding at our last campout. They will be a beautiful Longenberger Picnic basket and a lovely quilt wall hanging or lap quilt. The proceeds from these drawings will be used to defer some of the costs of our annual Christmas paty.
Note from our Activities Director Ronda: Another camping season is finally here and I can't wait to show you what I have in store for you! Please join us to make some great craft projects or just come and watch. I look forward to seeing all of you this year. The project for April at Camp Swatara will be a Teacup Gift Mug. Join us Saturday afternoon for a fun & easy project. We'll be creating some terrific teacups out of cardstock, decorating them with rubber stamps and ribbon. As a final touch, we'll be making presentation boxes for our teacups that will make them perfect for gift giving. Cost - $3.00
