| Two words for you readers, Three Guitarists! That's right folks. And that's not even the best part, I would even say, Three Amazing Guitarists! What are the best part, or parts, about this band you might ask? Well I'll tell you just that. All five members can really play their instruments, well. All five members are insanely cool. The band is part of this insanely cool group called Suck My Disc. Now let me explain this to you. Suck My Disc is a group of independent bands that put out compilations and stuff, and you can send your stuff to them, and if they think you're good enough, you can get on it, and make a huge name for yourself in the independent industry. Another cool thing about this band, the bassist, Mikey, is currently trying to start an independent radio station. He'll play any song by any independent band, wether he likes it or not. How cool is that?!?!? The first song on the cd is instrumental. Thats really freaking cool One way to describe it is, Radiohead-esque. Now I don't like to compare this band to anyone, because they are pretty original, but they are somewhat like Radiohead meets emo. I don't even really know what to say about this ep, either than it's freaking amazing. Now as I was saying, the first track is an instrumental track, and it's nothing short from great. Just one thing, I love the bassline, simple yet really catchy and cool. The second song, Npvember, is alot different from the first track. Great riffs, mixed with awesome meaningful lyrics, and a bridge that consists of two bars of 4 and one bar of 5, that must have taken awhile to get down pat. The third song is more like the second track. Another mix of three guitars doing different things, great meaningful lyrics, and halfway through, it speeds up! Craziness, sheer craziness I tell you. All in all, cool guys, good cd, great musicians. What more good you ask for in a band? I'd like to thank The Postage Stamps for coming and playing with us (T.E.A.M.) on Wednesday April 9th. and thank them for being cool guys. I give this cd a straight out 5/5! |
