The Sport began to develop in East Manchester and because Eastland Stars are based in the heart of the Commonwealth Games they had a lot of press.
A lot of young girls joined Eastlands and in 2003 participated in the UK Cheerleading Championships and 3 out of 4 of the Eastland Stars Squad came away with trophies.
In June 2003 some of the Eastland Stars parents are attended a 3 day Intensive Coaching Course, Level 1 ICF Coaches Exam and all the parents passed the course delivered by 'UK Cheerleading Association' (UKCA).

In 2005 Hayden then had spread his wings again and now is following his dream in Entertainment and the cheerleaders are still preparing for upcoming competitions and performances.
After UKCA 2005 ESC had to have a break. In Dec 2005 Hayden returned ready to get back Eastland Stars running. With the help from John, Carol and Lyndsey the Eastland Stars are now back and training for summer 2006 with plenty of performances to do and maybe the Lord Mayors Parade 2006.
