Through the Good Neighbour Volunteer’s Fund, Nova Scotia Power is able to support their employees and retirees in projects that are fulfilling to them and to their community. Bruce Allen is a volunteer assistant coach and employee of Nova Scotia Power and recently was awarded a grant to outfit his East Kings Pee Wee House team with new jerseys. “We really appreciate the generous donation to Minor Hockey by Nova Scotia Power”, said Bruce Allen. “We told the kids to take their old jerseys off just prior to one of our games since we had brand new Ice Dogs jerseys to put on. I have never seen the kids so excited and grateful, it was a very kind gesture for Nova Scotia Power to offer this fund to their employees, “ said assistant coach Bruce Allen.
