Goals
14 - Michael Proctor - Proctor played a 1-2 with Peter Duffield which inexplicably set him through on goal. His shot cannoned off the far post but he reacted quickest to tap the ball in from close range.

16 - Peter Duffield - Proctor was again the driving force, beating 2 players on the right (awful defending once again) before firing against the near post. This time, Duffield had the time to smash home the rebound, putting the home side 2 up.

72 - Rodney Rowe (Pen) - Ben Morley played the ball to Rodney Rowe on the edge of the 6 yard box, and he was tripped by Richard Cooper as he turned his man and prepared to shoot for goal. After winning the penalty, Rowe converted it, sending Fettis the wrong way.

Brief Notes
To follow...

They Said
Brian Little, saying some accurate things and some not quite so accurate to the Official Site, www.hullcityafc.net
"I suppose in the first half they had three or four good chances but I don't think they were overall better than us - we just defended very poorly. Long balls were giving us all sorts of problems and in fairness if team are going to shell them at us we should we able to deal with it. It is an Achilles heel for us and most home sides are employing that tactic, turning us and giving us a problem. We didn't deal with it well enough. We actually get to the ball first but therein lies the problem as our other defenders aren't helping in a manner which would ease the trouble for us."

"We're our own worst enemy at times away from home with the way we defend but in the first half although York scored twice and had another ruled out I didn't think they were by far the better side. They defended a lot more solidly than we did and that's what they needed to do."

"In the second half I knew they'd tire having had a big cup game last weekend and encouraged the players to really get at them. We then changed the system because we hadn't got a goal back and although some people didn't agree with that at the time, and probably still won't now, it was the way to go for us. Ryan and David were by no means our worst players but we knew that 4-3-3 works for us if we're chasing the game. We managed to get one back but couldn't quite get the second and the frustrating thing for me at the moment is that everything we try away from home isn't coming off."

"The players are playing with a lot of heart but unfortunately their heads aren't in tandem with that and they're doing some stupid things. Occasionally you came come back from two goals down away from home and we did that at Rushden, but more often that not it won't happen. At 1-0 down I always thought we had a chance and that's why the second goal was such a massive disappointment for me."

On growing inpatience amongst fans:

"I can't change what people think and having paid their money they're entitled to an opinion, I understand that. The best thing to do is probably say nothing until we win a game but even then I wouldn't say too much if we did. All I will say is that we're trying our best and if ultimately that isn't good enough then that's up to them - I accept that in this business."

"But my team played with good passion at York and I can't fault them for that but until we win games away from home the fans are going to get frustrated. When I look at the team we sent out there and the way they raised it in the second half and put York under pressure it gives me heart. There's no reason why they can't play like that all the time but as long as we continue to defend as badly as we did in the first half then we're always going to be under pressure."

Is Bri deliberately trying to ease the pressure on his players by not pubicly slamming them and taking the brunt of the criticism himself? If so, it's admirable, but they deserve far more of it than he does. They are letting him down badly at the moment.
