The letters underlined were I-I-S-T-M-P-L-A, which scramble into MILPITAS. I started driving toward Milpitas, and Matt called GC, asking if we were supposed to go to the corner of Milpitas and Great Mall, the only street in Milpitas that had the word "Great". They just heard "Great Mall in Milpitas," so confirmed our destination. So, we drove off.
Later, we caught onto the Mall theme of the clues - Winona Ryder shoplifted, Cher from Clueless enjoys shopping in malls, Mallrats and Scenes from a Mall both have the word "mall" in them. I'm not sure about the other three.
