| Maury sweeps Eastern District Beach, Southeastern, Peninsula District semifinals PPD due to severe thunderstorms May 20, 2008 The Maury Commodores continued their dominance of the Eastern District Tuesday night in the Tournament finals at Powhatan Field. The girls slayed Churchland 8-0 with four goals by Mary Morgan, while the boys rode an early goal by Ryan Lee to the final whistle in a 1-0 decision over Churchland. Tournament matches elsewhere in Hampton Roads were postponed a day due to a line of severe thunderstorms that pounded the area Tuesday afternoon.
