Graduated from Bliss Electrical School in 1939. Obtained amateur radio license W3HQX in August, 1938. Hired by C&P Telephone in Washington, DC, November, 1939. Married Harriet Moist from Lewistown, PA, on January 22, 1944. Entered US Navy in September, 1944 and was discharged as ETM/2C in April 1946. Remained with C&P Telephone for 41 years and 7 months, retiring effective September 9, 1981. Moved to Winchester, VA, on July 31, 1982. Have six children and six grandchildren, and am living happily ever after at the age of 81.
