In the travelers world of chotchkeys and postcards a real satisfying
purchase is hard to come by. The other day, in Atlanta I went into
K-Mart to purchase some rubbing compound as our rolling apartment had
some smudges that could not be removed with good old fashioned elbow
grease. It cost about three bucks. I opened it up, dabbed a little on
a cloth, rubbed it on the offending patch of paint returning it to
its original lustre. I can't even tell you how satisfying this was.
For a mere three bucks I was able to purchase essentially a lifetime
supply of something that I will always need. It wasn't necessary to
comparison shop, read instructions or worry about malfunction. If
only every purchase were this easy.
