"Objects in Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear" Now what the hell is
this all about? My two other mirrors present accurate proximity and
perspective, why can't the right mirror? They can make a damn
sattelite that can read a newspaper headline over my shoulder but I
am still forced to put up with a side view mirror that misrepresents
reality. The kindly folks at Shell provided a free handout on road
safety, and warned of the very real dangers of road rage. I am using
this as a constructive outlet for my rage, pedestrian as it may be.
Shell points out that 75% of all auto accidents are due to driver
error. I suspect that a good portion of the remaining 25% can be
attributed to side view mirror proximity confusion. Write your
congressman.
